How dare they besmirch the line-dancing teacher

In an article published on June 12, we reported the sentencing for manslaughter of Paul Goodwin ("Husband who killed his wife jailed for five years").
In the article, we incorrectly stated Mrs Goodwin had had an affair with her line-dancing teacher.
In fact, Wolverhampton Crown Court had been told that she had had an affair with an un-named fitness trainer, and not with her line-dancing teacher.
We are happy to make it clear to readers that there was no affair between Mrs Goodwin and her line-dancing teacher.
We have apologised to the teacher for the embarrassment and distress caused by the article. Link
