Fun with photos

On Jan. 26, the National Post published a news story on apparent attempts to discredit Allan Rock, the former federal Cabinet minister and Canadian ambassador to the United Nations, ahead of a report to a UN Security Council panel by Mr. Rock on child soldiers in Sri Lanka. In particular, the story referred to an article in the Sunday Standard of Sri Lanka and an accompanying photograph of Mr. Rock and two unnamed men; the photograph was reprinted to illustrate the Post story. The Sunday Standard article alleged that the two men are supporters of the terrorist organization Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eeelam (LTTE) and members of the Waterloo Tamil Students Association at the University of Waterloo in Ontario. According to Mr. Rock, the photograph was taken at the federal Liberal leadership convention in 2006. Link
