AN article
on page 15 of The Daily Telegraph on February 15 reported about the
Senates Estimates Committee hearings into HMAS Westralia.
The article incorrectly stated that Baileys had withdrawn safety allegations before being awarded several defence contracts.
The
Daily Telegraph accepts that Baileys has never withdrawn its safety
concerns and regrets any embarrassment to Baileys from any inference
that Baileys was awarded contracts in return for the withdrawal of
safety allegations.
