The Crunks have returned. A hearty thanks to Jo, Frank and Linda for helping us keep things correct.
The Crunks:
- Our June 20 post, "A tale of two public editors" had two errors. In referring to former New York Times public editor Daniel Okrent, we mistakenly wrote, "He wasn't prefect." We of course meant, "He wasn't perfect." We also referred to current public editor Byron Calame's "bi-monthly column," which is incorrect. He writes a column every two weeks. Both errors have been corrected. We regret the errors.
- Our June 20 post, "Spelling bee errors continue," contained a misspelling in the headline. We wrote "Selling" instead of "Spelling," thus adding ourselves to the list of publications who have made errors while writing about spelling bees. It has been corrected. We regret the error.
