Subediting subterfuge

In the article "Prostitute found strangled in burning flat" on C1 on June 23, the head of Kowloon West regional crime unit, Senior Superintendent Leung Ka-ming, was quoted as saying: "It was a small fire and solvent was used in the incident." The quote should have read: "It was a small fire and no inflammable solvent was used in the incident." The error was introduced in the subediting process.
